Certificate Description

This certificate gives an overview of issues related to ADHD.
ICD Subscribers who hold this certificate have a familiarity with symptoms and presentations of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Their studies have included symptoms and co-existing conditions and treatments. They have an understanding of their clients who live with ADHD, and are aware of strategies, techniques and resources to help these clients meet their organizational and productivity challenges.
An ICD subscriber who has earned the Level I Certificate of Study in ADHD has completed 6 hours of education in this area in addition to 6 hours of general education in Chronic Disorganization.

The requirements of this certificate are

  • Attend five specialized classes that earn and ADD/ADHD credit in the ICD Vault, such as:
    • Normalizing ADHD
    • Tools for ADHD – Proven Techniques and Strategies
    • Tackling Paper with ADHD
    • Play is the Way: Helping Your ADHD Clients Succeed
    • Brief MI Strategies: Supporting Clients Managing ADHD
    • Motivating a Child with ADHD
    • More Attention, Less Deficit: Success Strategies for Adults with ADHD
  • Complete a Certificate of Study Application online.  

 Please note

  • Class credits are good for three (3) years as information in these fields can become outdated.
  • Classes can be applied to a maximum of two (2) different certificates. However, the same class cannot be applied to both the Level I Certificate of Study, and the Level II Specialist Certificate within the same subject area.
