Live Class – Keeping Clients Out of “The Doom Spiral”
FeaturedThe Doom Spiral happens when an individual is flooded with emotions, sensations, and thoughts. It can contribute to the challenge of working on chronic disorganization for the client and the practitioner. Intense overwhelm, stress, and even panic can catch people off guard and leave them disoriented. These painful experiences are not an anomaly. You can build skills to support clients in and through them. Care after a doom spiral is important, but what if you could learn to notice its approach and disrupt it before it takes over?

Live Class – Supporting Our Clients Through Their Dementia Diagnosis
FeaturedDuring the course, we will discuss the difference between the broad term dementia and other specific types of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's. There will be moments for interaction as we review the slides, with the goal of reaching those who may be visual learners, on how to approach the home of an agitated client with dementia who needs assistance.
A conversation on current treatment options and new research will be discussed. Each person will leave with new knowledge about dementia and the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation. -
