ICD® is a co-founder and continuing member of the International Federation of Professional Organizing Associations (IFPOA), founded in 2007. Today IFPOA includes members from 15 nations worldwide. IFPOA is a worldwide forum facilitating communication and collaborative efforts among professional organizing associations. Its purpose is to elevate the reputation, visibility and professionalism of the organizing industry worldwide through, among other things, the sharing of information among Federation members. As of May 2024, members include organizations from Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Republic of Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the United States.

Affiliated with ICD since 2019, the Italian Association of Professional Organizers (APOI) was founded in 2013. Its associates are professionals working in the professional organizing sector. APOI promotes the use of tools, actions and organizational methods and the transfer of organizational skills, so that people and organizations, through effective systems and processes, can enjoy the best of an improved organizational capacity and a higher level of productivity and efficiency in any scope.

Affiliated with ICD since 2019, the Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers (APDO) was founded in 2004. APDO is the membership body for Professional Organisers in the UK. It is now a thriving professional community with members across the UK and around the world. APDO sets standards, provides professional development and supports the growth of the industry.

 

Affiliated with ICD since 2021, the mission of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) is to help those affected by Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders to live full and productive lives. Their aim is to increase access to effective treatment through research and training, foster a hopeful and supportive community for those affected by OCD and the professionals who treat them, and fight stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Affiliated with ICD since 2011, The Japan Association of Life Organizers (JALO) was founded in 2008. Its objectives are “to contribute to the people in Japan to improve their social lives healthier as well as to create better and higher quality of living spaces, mainly for residential. To reach the goal, we strive to educate the public in Japan to familiarize with the concept of ‘Organizing,’ such as for living space, lifestyles, careers, human lives, and anything that can be effectively prepared, planned and organized.” JALO also focuses on providing educational and training programs for professional Life Organizers® as well as researching further on organizing methods and strategies.

Nabpo logo final blackAffiliated with ICD since 2025, the National Association of Black Professional Organizers was founded in 2017. Their goal: “Raise Awareness About the Benefits of Living an Organized Life to the Community We Serve.” Its mission is to empower and educate existing and start-up minority and women-owned businesses and other disadvantaged entrepreneurs by providing the appropriate resources and referrals that will meet their business needs.

Affiliated with ICD since 2009, the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals™ (NAPO®) dates from 1983. NAPO’s mission is to be the leading source for organizing and productivity professionals by providing exceptional education, enhancing business connections, advancing industry research, and increasing public awareness.

 

Affiliated with ICD since 2010, the mission of the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM) is to facilitate the physical and emotional aspects of relocation for older adults, to increase industry awareness, to establish a national referral network, to enhance the professional competence of members, and to promote the delivery of our services with compassion and integrity.

Affiliated with ICD since 2010, the Dutch Professional Association of Professional Organizers (NBPO) was founded in 1997. The NBPO is a growing and dynamic association with members who work as professional organizers. The NBPO’s mission is to ensure quality, professionalism and versatility of its members. In addition, the NBPO organizes activities to draw attention to the profession of professional organizer, for example through media publicity and participation in activities. The NBPO organizes a three-day training professional organizing four times a year.

Affiliated with ICD since 2005, Professional Organizers in Canada (POC) is the national association that represents professional organizers across Canada. POC members are organizing professionals from all sectors of the industry, including residential and office organizers, time management and goal setting professionals, estate organizing experts and many, many more. POC’s mission is “Providing Visibility, Credibility, and Connection.” It provides a supportive environment for our members to share ideas, network and exchange referrals.

Affiliated with ICD since 2024, the Francophone Federation of Organizational Professionals was established in 2017. FFPO is an association whose objective is both to federate French-speaking organizational professionals from different countries, to professionalize and structure the profession, and to contribute to making it (re)known, both with public authorities and the public.
