Designing spaces for people on the autism spectrum needs to be very different than the way we would design for a neurotypical person. Lighting, Color, Textures, and Space Planning all play a substantial role in how a person on the spectrum interacts with their environment. Creating a Sensory Friendly home can lead to greater achievements, better self-regulation, and more independence.
