What are the dates for the conference?

The ICD® conference will be held ONLINE from 13-17 October 2021 Read the official conference schedule here, download available. International time zones have been considered. Please check your local time zone for the actual start date and time (i.e. conference starts on October 14th in Japan and Australia).

 

What will the conference time zone be?

The program takes into account international time zones and additional recordings within 24-hours are offered to keep you up to date. wherever you live in the world. The schedule is presented in Eastern USA; Japan Standard; and Central Europe, Time zones.

 

Where is the conference being held?

 

Online, on the Remo platform. Each person who registers as an attendee, a sponsor, or a presenter, will receive and email invitation from Remo to every event during the conference, for which they are registered.  Link to 2021 Conference Platform Web Page]

I have used Remo before. Will I need to use the same Username and Password?

If you have used Remo before, you may use the same username and platform as long as your role in this conference is the same as in the last Remo event you attended.  For example, if you were an attendee to the 2021 NAPO conference and you are an attendee to the 2021 ICD Conference, you may use the same username and password.  You may want to review and update your profile for the ICD audience. If you are a presenter to the ICD Conference and were an attendee to your last Remo event, we recommend you create your username (use another email address) and password.

When will I get access to the online platform?

 

Each person who registers as an attendee, a sponsor, or a presenter, will receive and email invitation from Remo to every event during the conference, for which they are registered.

Every Attendee will receive an invitation to the familiarization session on 13 OCT 3pm EST, and 14 OCT 3pm (15:00) JST. Sponsors and Presenters will schedule a personalized familiarization session with the Conference Co-Chairs.

I am worried about navigating the online platform, can I get a practice session?

 

Not tech-savvy? Don’t worry; we will offer a conference platform familiarization  session prior to conference to help you navigate the platform. Each person who registers as an attendee, a sponsor, or a presenter, will receive and email invitation from Remo to every event during the conference, for which they are registered.

Every Attendee will receive an invitation to the familiarization session on 13 OCT 3pm EST, and 14 OCT 3pm JST. Who is the event for and who can participate?

 

Anyone interested in chronic disorganization can attend. All attendees will leave with more in-depth knowledge about chronic disorganization, its causes, its complications, and many suggestions on how to help yourself or your clients improve their organization and productivity.

 

This event is tailored for professional organizers, coaches, therapists, and related professionals, but all interested parties are welcome.

 

No matter what your job or line of work is, this conference offers great new insights to improve organization and productivity.

 

What can I expect from conference?

 

This year’s conference is a 100% online multi-day event with a platform  https://remo.co/ that allows for attendance from all over the world.

 

Our 10 expert presenters [insert link to ICD Conf Presenters web page] will all present live on the following topics: OCD, ADHD, Hoarding Disorder, neuroplasticity, neuro architecture, learning challenges, integrative health and healing, signature character-strengths, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma.

 

Each presentation is between 60 to 90 minutes in length and includes a 15-minute, live Q&A. There will be ample time for you to take a break or network in between sessions.  Between session periods are about one hour on average. Networking is available during all breaks and is similar to leaving the conference hall and meeting your colleagues in the hallways. A dedicated evening of networking only will commence in the evening on Thursday, 14 OCT EST, and 15 OCT JST. See our schedule.

 

If you miss a presentation in the Eastern USA Time Zone, you can watch the in the Japan Standard Time zone, and after conference you receive a link to all the session recordings. The recordings will be housed in ICD Folders on Box, just like the Vault before we had the Learning Management System. All attendees will receive an invitation to the recordings folder about one week after the conference is over.

 

ICD® CEUs for the recordings may be obtained through the exit surveys each time you exit Remo at the end of the day.  A banner on the Remo banquet hall floor will also guide you to the CEU forms where you can submit the code words and numbers to verify your attendance.  ICD credit for watching recorded conference sessions after the conference will be much like the old Vault process using Box. It is possible to earn up to 14hours of ICD CEUs by attending this one conference.

 

We hope you join our online “Roaring 20s” party to celebrate and reflect on 20 years of ICD®. Our celebration will include graduation for our newest CPO-CD and an awards ceremony. Yes – we encourage anyone with an interest in chronic disorganization to participate in this event.

ICD® encourages persons with special needs to participate in their programs and activities.  The Conference Committee is committed to meeting any needs you may have.

Can I receive a list of participants in advance of the conference?

Participants can share their contact information through their profile on the Remo platform.  This information is shared with attendees, honorees, presenters, and sponsors. Attendees may link their profile to their LinkedIn profile, and other social media sites.

Will I get a refund if I can’t attend conference?

If you choose not to attend conference, no refund is given. In case of an emergency, or health issues, email [email protected] and then the ICD® Conference Committee will review your situation and decide if a refund is given.
